This dress was the first thing I saw when I got to the sidewalk sales and I immediately fell in love. I had to let it go though, because of the price. At the end of the day as I was about to leave I decided to walk by this store one more time and this dress had moved to a sale rack in front of the store and was marked down to $20! Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I absolutely love the retro feel of this dress, but the zippers on this dress help to update it and make it much more wearable. I also paired it with some modern heels from Urban Outfitters–my other favorite sidewalk sales steal.
Once every summer, the stores of downtown Northampton, MA bring their merchandise out to the sidewalks and sell them at very discounted prices. It’s practically my favorite day of the year because it means that I don’t have to go digging through the clearance racks to find the good deals–many stores take items from their regular inventory to use for this sale. This year I had some seriously good luck, picking up a gorgeous Mad Men style dress from 25 Central (originally $68, purchased for $20), a sexy pair of heals from Urban Outfitters (originally $60, purchased for $10), and a chic, boho skirt from Faces (originally $25, purchased for $10). Can’t wait for next year’s sale!
I will be posting a picture of the boho skirt very soon!
